Looking to get my calcium reactor operating. I have a korallin 1502 fed by a kamoer dosing pump. I just welcomed my 2nd child so life is crazy. To avoid tinkering I’m considering a carbon doser or the aqua wiz calcium reactor controller. I can’t find much user info beyond the company’s own.

But a new carbon doser is $100 less than a full controller. Curious others thoughts on the two? I realize adding the aqua wiz will unlock full automation but I already have a trident so another $800 isn’t in the cards at the moment. I have an apex so I can program the control, I just hear setting bubbles on a needle valve is not super reliable.

My carbon doser and a Milwaukee ph meter with a Kamoer dosing pump
Allows rock steady operation. It has to be set up and adjusted to fit the system, and it is good to test regularly and adjust accordingly, but once it is working it should not need much attention other than to adjust as coral demands increase and change out the CO2 bottle before it gets empty.

Turns out the carbon doser arrived broke. In my frustration I ordered the Aqua whiz and calcium reactor controller.

That’s no good ( broken on arrival.) Hope the rest of the stuff arrives in working order.
