Lifeguard aquatics makes a good one.
Two little fishes make hang on the sump units but need a small pump to run them

i dont think it gets easier then aquaready sigma....
What do you mean push a button?

And did u pack it right? the foam should sandwitch the media, and should prevent it from flying everywhere.
If your after the tumble effect, i would put get extra sponge and put it at the top.

Can you take a picture of how you packed it?
I never had issues with carbon...u could probably put it in a mesh bag and then in the reactor then if its going everywhere unless again your after the tumble effect which i don't think you should with rox carbon.

I put the bottom sponge, put carbon which for my tank 150G 15tsbps. Put another sponge that came with it. Put the disc. Put it inside my sump. Started the reactor. Top sponge flew to the top. And the carbon skippped the reactor and it started escaping to my sump,…

yeah i had that happen once...

I would fill it in a mesh bag then and then put it in the reactor.
Since its not GFO and does not need to be lightly tumbled.

I had problems with it when using GFO tho, so i would double pack the sponge at top and get another sponge for the bottom.

yes.. the media bag will keep it in place.
And the reactor pushes water though the chamber, so its the same thing.
It will also make you dumping the carbon easier if its from the bag vs from the chamber, as i usually need to use a siv for that.

Ordered some media bags. Arriving tmw im gonna try again. That shoupd 100% work carbon should have no place to escape. And even if the carbon gets pushed to the top. It shoupd compress and not tumble

Btw what speed i should start the reactor at when i get the media bags tmw? Put the reactor at the slowest speed?

i set mine on full speed, unless again its GFO which needs to be tuned and gently tumbled.

You can also pack polyfill in the bottom and double sponge up top.
Polyfill is the filter floss we use, but the cheaper name for it.

The media bag alone wont cut it?

Personally, I think Rox sucks for a reactor. It floats. Its small. I use bituminous for reactors. The only place i use rox is in small bags in my nanos.

Bagging in a reactor might work, but its still gonna float.

it will... im saying if u went with GFO.

The media bag will hold everything in it... and even if it floats it wont matter, because the bag contains it.
The problem i think ur seeing from what i remember is the sponge will slip to the side and go in a 45 degree angle, which spills the contents under higher flow.

The bag will prevent it from spilling.

So just bag it... put it in the reactor, and then dont worry about it.

The reactor still does it thing by forcing water though the entire contents in the chamber. If anything it may get dirty faster because its filtering though the bag as well as the sponges.

Yup. And rely on your experience rather than marketing. The cheap stuff has worked for decades.
