Caribbean cling fish eggs

I have a pair of black clingfish. They laid a large area of eggs last week....will they hatch/ survive? I have sponge filters over my intakes already to protect other small fish in the tank. Has anyone breed them?

Very neat. I have no experience with this specific fish.
However breeding staples would be phytoplankton, baby brine shrimp, and rotifers.
Do you have any cultures of these running?
Otherwise when they hatch its free fish and coral food.

I hatch baby brine and feed phyto daily for other small guys and gorgs in the tank so I have that covered..I dont think I have rotifers.....

Egg update

Some of the eggs are getting darker inside which leads me to believe they are viable.

They went from looking like 2 eye dots to little worm like things inside their eggs. So they are growing. It's hard to get a good picture because they are in the corner and the reflection in here is terrible....

Where did you get your Clingfish? Do you know what species they are?

Cool stuff! I had one for awhile that I caught but my filefish decided he wanted a crunchy snack. I hope to get another one someday. It actually used to come up to the corner of the tank and eat from my hand.

Caribbean clingfish...bought off live aquaria. They must be close to hatching according to that link. I dont have anywhere to grow them out but I already dose phyto and bbs daily ....so here is to seeing if any make it to adulthood... may the odds be ever in their favor.

Caribbean clingfish… they sell them as Arcos rubiginosus on Diver’s Den, though I am pretty sure they are actually Stippled clingfish (Gobiesox punctulatus). Compare with the pictures below:

They have been bred many times in captivity. I would assume you need a separate tank and special foods like most breeding efforts.

I wouldn't expect them to survive without additional care. There just won't be enough small foods in enough density to get them to copepod-eating size, and the other fish would eat them.

Also, on a side note, how long ago did you purchase the adults and how quickly did they grow between that time and now?
