Hi

I have had this carnation coral for a few weeks now, seems to have been doing ok, its in a separate dumping tank so I can control feeding / nutrients, always seems to be feeding (polyps extended) when I feed every evening with reef roids however it has a developing hole in the stem that has grown in size was wondering if anyone had any experience of this?

Yes, it was an impulse purchase, there were a couple in my local LFS that were not looking great so I thought id give it a shot as I have a few small systems where I can control the required feeding / nutrients. Flow and so on that is required to maintain it.

However, I’m assuming by this hole developing it probably isnt doing as well as I hoped.

Many thanks Stuart

Did you dip the coral when you got it?

You're probably about to find out why it isn't advisable to purchase them...
