Purchased my first nem yesterday. A small size carpet mem about 3 inches. He attached to a rock right away this morning he is gone I cant find it anywhere all intakes and power heads are clear. How long should I let him go before I start really searching for it?

75 Gallon Reef close to 2yrs old
LED lighting.
2 powerheads on each side of tank.
2 clown fish.

Just found it he wedged himself under a ledge on the rock face hes in the dark tho does that mean the lights are to strong or is he just adjusting to the new tank setup

Yes, or he is Where did you buy him from? Was it responding well and open when you bought it?

What kind of anemone?
At 3 inches I bet it is a maxi mini..
They go hiding once in a while. I had min squeeze in a little hole in a rock once and pop out the other side.

I would leave it alone. Don’t go search for it or try and move it. Do you know what species it is?

I would guess it's a mini as well my LFS just had it listed as a carpet nem I found it hes hiding pretty good in the dark atm.
