Well I'm filling my new 180 with rodi, I ran a long hose to the tank. I had the hose zip stripped to the loc line and gorilla tape for extra protection. Went to bed at 3am and woke up to the hose out of the tank. The tank stand was completely full and water all over the hard wood laminate floor and in the basement. Those dark cats! Hopefully your day is going better than mine

I’m so sorry that happened to you I feel your pain.

We use clamps to hold the hose. Never had a problem. Husband has 180g freshwater tank. He also uses a clamp that you stick the hose in and snap it until you reach the size of hose. I can take a pic when I get home
