ok... maybe ive over looked something... is this wiring correct?
i cut my ethernet cable in half and heres the wires on my pins

1 brn
2 brn/white
3 green
4 blue/white
5 blur
6 green/white
7 org
8 org/white

thats what i see through the pin. seems odd though. i thought they were supposed to be in wired pairs?
anyone else see something like this?

That's normal. Buy the male to male CAT5E (RJ45) cables. If you want to run cable punch down the female ends its much easier and they fit into a face plate.

If they wired them in pairs, they would have crosstalk and the cable would not be able to pass data at high speeds. Anything over 10Mb and this becomes important. It is called "twisted pair" for a reason! :)
