Catching a pistol shrimp

Long story short, I've got a tiger pistol shrimp in a 29G that is getting too big and destroying too much stuff. I love him and he's very entertaining but I'm returning him to LFS to get a candy can pistol. I've got the bottle trap in the tank with some frozen mysis shrimp in it as bait. He goes up the neck but not all the way in. Is there any bait that would be better? Clams? Any other advice for getting this thing out?

Good luck, they are blind so very skittish and hard to catch. i had to pull all the rock to get one out one time, him and the Pink spot were very difficult to catch. Im sorry i dont have any advise for you on this, just my anguish cause i know how hard it can be to catch them.
