I am in the process of building my aquascape and was wondering how large of caves to make. It is in a 40 breeder so there will not be any large fish. And advice would be great.

I wouldn’t worry about it. Fish can fit into pretty tight spaces, they will find their own spot they like, and a lot of small fish build their caves under the rocks.

So is it reasonable to try and factor in coral growth when considering nsa vs traditional?

It really depends on what type of aquascape your going for. If your going for a more natural scape then have a lot small caves if your going for a NSA Scape then make fewer medium sized ones
I am trying to make it visually appealing but still trying to give a good habitat. So far I have some arches as well as some different size caves. So I guess it would be a mixture.
