Cc stars and BTAs.

hey folks, I made a mistake and purchased a bta the other day at my lfs. It slipped my mind that I have a cc star. I understand that these are not compatible. Are there any success stories or is it inevitable that the star will attack the bta? I have a live rock fish only tank and was hoping to keep the bta. Thanks for your help.

More than likely just a matter of time. I would return the cc.
