Calling all chalice gurus!! This chalice has been in the tank for 3 weeks. The picture with mushroom in it, that side was damaged during transit home. It is receding around the edges, so there’s something it doesn’t like.

It’s at the bottom of 24” deep 90 gallon, so par is running 65-90 in its current location.

Parameters:

pH. 8.23
Calc. 470
Alk. 8.6
NO3. 15
PO4. .34
Sg. 1.026
Mg. 1360
Temp. 77.4

Flow - Low

Any thought or ideas greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

I too can assure mushroom likely stinging it. Space at least 2" away from each other. Just had mushroom challenge the end stem of my hammer and mushroom actually won. Hammer has a good sting also

Ok, move the mushroom, that’s easy enough to do. Oddly, the edge closest to the mushroom isn’t receding like the other sides, so I’m wondering if there’s more to the story?
Is it getting enough light? Too much light? Are parameters within reason ? It’s in a really low flow area, does it need more?

I appreciate the insight, I have moved the mushroom! Are you convinced the whole issue is the shroom??

If so, any idea on timeframe for recovery?

Thanks!

Depending on the rate of growth, healing will probably be noticeable around the 3-4 week mark I’d assume, definitely update if it seems to keep going downhill
