Chalice Molasses

I have this orange chalices for more than a decade now. It has grown half an inch since then. Other chalices have grown 20x except this guy. Yes, I’ve moved it around, hand fed it, sang to it — nada! I’m going to toss it in another tank or just toss it! Frustrating

What do you guys do?

If I have a survivor for 10 years that has attached to the substrate then I leave it be and wait for it to blossom.

If I have a coral for 6 months that is overgrowing everything then I remove it before it gets any bigger

That tree was 3’ tall 9 years ago.

rofl - problem is: I’m very impatient! I think waiting for a decade is a tad too long, right? I’ve now love to hate chalices. Never again will I buy another one. Just lost interest because they are such slow growers.

I feel your pain. The only thing I can think of for you to do is to target feed the chalice at night so that it is getting more energy to grow. I would expect it to take off with the additional energy.
