Just curious if I should be worried about this little spot on my chalice or if it is normal, Ive never really kept chalices before.

light? water parameters? how old is the tank?
i think its bleaching or getting some infection. If params and location is good, it should recover . Do yo do any spot feedeing ?

Anything nearby that could sting it? Should recover. Mine does every time my hammer nails it

I don't do any spot feeding as I just got it yesterday from divers den. params are good, it was about half way up the tank on a 40 breeder, but I only run a 4 bulb t5 fixture so didn't think that would be too much light. I just put it on the sand bed. Should I place it in a even more shadowed location?

I would say watch it closely, if the wound increases bring it down to low light and do some spot feeding. Challices are fairly hardy .. from my experience

But what are the parameters? What are you feeding
