i'm pretty sure my problem is light, but here we go. i have a chalice dominated tank on which i run a 4 bulb tek on with 2 bulbs lit about 9 hours and the other two are on for about 2 hours in the middle of the day. the problem is that over time a couple of them look like there fading. i've lost a few wild chalice frags( thought due to fresh cuts?) and some are slowly receading. this system is plumbed into my 120 sps tank in which everything is doing great. water parm are stable, but for some reason i still have a problem. the weird part of it is i have chalice in there like bubble gum, pink mojito, tyree red watermelon, tyree volcano, and a few others that i thought may be difficult that are growing and doing fine. some of the problem ones are- wwc pastel, wwc sherbert watermelon, superman(wild i believe) and some type of red one with orange eyes. anyway, sorry for so long but if there is any advice i sure would appreciate it. thanks.

General rule of thumb is on any new chalices, especially wild ones i but them in the tank at the bottom under a ledge and slowly move them out over a course of a couple weeks. Also to help them out try to feed them when they have their tentacles out.

All of them were on a bare bottom. Right now there under a frag rack and seem to be stable. I figured it was a light issue, but I thought I'd put it out there. BTW the lights are 30" from the bottom. do you think i need to turn down the amount of hours the lights are on?
