I want to get a trio of chalk bass for my 40 breeder. I want something that swims toward the top. Do chalk bass swim toward the top or not?

Mine stay middle to lower. Although, I have some larger fish they find intimidating which may be why they don’t stay toward the top. During feeding they go all over the place. Great fish though, you should get them regardless.

Well I’m deciding between them and a group of 3 or 5 chromis because I want something to take up the top of the tank
