Chalk Basslet life span?

I just picked one up and the only thing I didn't research was how long their life span was till now. I seen only a year. Is this true?
Does anyone have any experience with one living longer than a year?

They do live longer than a year. I haven't kept them personally. I would be pretty surprised if lifespan in our tanks was less than 5 or so.

Hi I had one just die, I bought it 6 years ago

My current latern basslet(not a chalk, but same family) is about 5 years old. Apparently their life span is only 2 to 3 years from my readings.

I’d say 5-6 years, 7/8 at tops.

Was it an adult when you got it? And what sort of lifespan are you expecting? Does it eat everything?
