I currently have a 120 gallon display and a 40 gallon sump for roughly a total water volume of about 145 gallons. My skimmer is a Reef Octopus 200INT, which I absolutely love!

I am wondering if there is a proven way to change out the pump for a larger pump. I am trying to adhere to the Red Sea Reef Care Program, and their Reef-Spec requirement is 3 time total water volume through the skimmer. Currently, the pump is rated at 210 gph and the spec requires 435 gph.

Are there any plug and play pump upgrades for the Reef Octopus 200INT?

Generally OE pumps are designed for whatever skimmer they come with.
A quick call to CoralVue (Reef Octopus distributor) will tell you if there is another pump you could upgrade to.
