Changing salts ?

Hey so I’ve been using Redsea Blue bucket for the past year in my nano 25g tank. But now I’m upgrading to a 40g and moved a bit farther from my LFS. Redsea Blue bucket cost me $98 at the time. Was thinking of switching to IO Reef Crystals since I have both Petco & Petsmart near me and it’s more cost affective.

My question is how would you go thru the switch if switching salts ? I’ve currently been keeping my Kh 8 , Cal 400-425 Mag 1250-1300.
I read that IO RC has way higher levels the. What my tank is used to . So would that be a problem ?

Just normal water changes with the new salt is all you need to do

There's nothing special about switching salts, IMO, except as it impacts alkalinity, and how much you might need to dose to maintain your target levels. :)
