Going to ramp up Vibrant, and want to pull all chateo into another tank for time being. Would have regular temp and flow. But was curious about the light aspect

I have not done any experiments with cheato before.I would think 5 days tops.I would rinse it off with aged tank water before adding it to the tank.Just in case it started to break down.

I once had chaeto growing in my sump, then removed the chaeto and light for about 6 months. I added the light source back and a few of the little tiny pieces of chaeto that was left in my sump regrew into a big mass again. No kidding.
