As you can tell, I am currently without fish. When I added my blue hippo, I broke out in bad case of ich or velvet. I'm usallus a big fan of ich management but this time it didn't work. I tried for 2 weeks but they only got worse. I ended up taking everyone out and treating them with copper. I will probably put them back in about a month.

I'm sorry to hear that. :(

Hopefully your treatment will go well!

I love the look a couple of large softies can add to a tank. Major bummer about the fish, any losses so far? The corals all look great tho

also I love those green nepthea's or however you spell it. My first coral back when I was a lad to go from frag to centerpiece

Thanks....I did lose one clown and a royal gramma. This was about a week ago and ao far the rest are doing great.

So as I imagined, this tank didnt last very long. A real reefer can't have a tank like this! Anyway, I took it down and set up a RR Aqueon 90 gallon.

Are you running anything in the Penguins or are they mostly for circulation?
Are you hiding your heater(s) in the filters? If yes, what type of heaters do you have? I'd love to be able to hide my heater!

I took that tank down a couple of months ago. When it was up, all I used were the 2 penguin filters. For a heater I had the Aqueon pro. It is all the way in the right corner. It blends in with the backround so its hardly noticable.

Thank you for the info. I hope the new tank is doing well.

Huh. I was recently got one of these tank and stand combos myself for a similar price. I'm working on getting it up now, but why exactly didn't yours last? Jut bad luck with the animals getting sick?

I'm working on getting all my bits and pieces together for it right now. Plan is a 10g sump with all my filter media in there, but how did the 2 penguins work out until you took it down?
