Cheato for seeding

Was thinking. If I add Chaeto from an existing system, would that help seed the environment?

Do you mean seed it with beneficial bacteria? If so, I doubt it would have much of an impact. Also, if there are no fish in the new environment, the chaeto won't have anything to feed on.

gotcha. I put some in there 'cause I have it - i guess it'll just die.
