Check Out My Waterbox 20 Build!!!

How did you install your K1? Did you remove the foam blocks or what does that look like? I just got one and I’m not sure how to set it up. Thank you.

Hey Reefers! Been a minute since I've updated my build thread. Daddy duty has taken over the past few years as I've had my hands full with a pair of beautiful daughters :star-struck: Over the course of that time my torch dominant tank was hit with the dreaded Euphyllia eating flatworms and they wrecked havoc on the system. Lost most of my LPS, but the GSP more than enjoyed the extra leg-room. It wasn't long before my GSP had taken over the entirety of the tank, and a few months ago I was finally ready to start anew. Made a deal with my local fish store to trade a few pieces of the GSP covered rock for some clean CaribSea Liferock arches, let them cycle with my remaining liverock and began to restock the tank. Fast-forward to today and I've been hustling on the Reef2Reef live-sales, offer-up and eBay to score some great deals on coral. Standard practice now includes proper dip and acclimation on all pieces to try to safeguard against any unwanted inhabitants. Will definitely throw some Macro-shots in here soon but for the time being here's an up-to-date full tank shot under the daylights and blues. Until Next time!

New shot of the Waterbox. Been a minute since I posted an update. Really happy with the growth that I'm getting from my Zoas and I'm starting to understand the love that people have for them. Top right corner of the tank is dedicated to some higher end varieties. I've got Strats, GMK, Exospheres, Utter Chaos, Milky Ways, JF kraks, Space Chaos, Black Hole Kraks, Yodas and some others. Looking forward to getting some Frankie's Acid Trips and Nightmares next :) Thanks for looking!

Quick tank update:

I've decided that I'm going to try to make this a torch dominant scape, with hopes to add some higher end torches gradually over the next year or so. I've got my heart set on an Aussie Gold, Indo Dragon Soul and a NY Knicks among others but my wallet isn't ready for those investments just yet LOL.

I did, however come across an awesome deal at Seattle Corals for a 4 piece torch pack that included a Purple Torch, Faded Torch, Toxic Torch and Green Tip Ultra for $200, all of which look like they've got at least 2 heads! Also traded a few pieces of Acro to an LFS for single head of Blacklight torch. I've been feeding all the livestock Reef Roids twice/week and conducting routine water changes while dosing for Calcium and everything seems to be happy. Here are a few tank shots along with a few of my favorite non-torch pieces, a Mean Green Alveopora and a Rainbow Master Acan.

Thanks for stopping by!

Beautiful tank. I’m about to purchase the same waterbox 20. How are you still liking the tank? Did the media reactor and skimmer fit easily in the chambers? I think the dimensions on the WB website are incorrect. I think going to skip the filter sock and media basket and put the media reactor in the intake chamber followed by live rock and marine pure in chamber 2 with my heater. Thanks and awesome tank
