Hi everyone,

I just wanted to introduce myself: I am in Canberra, Australia, and I am about to setup my first home reef tank - a CADE S2 1500.
This will be me first ever marine aquarium at home, but I am a biologist by profession and have some experience with corals, sponges and reefs in general. I have two small tanks at work - a temperate (22C) to house Sycon capricorn (calcareous 'Pineapple' sponge) we collect at the coast, and a newly setup tropical tank (26C) for sponges and corals we bring from the Great Barrier Reef.

Keen to get my build going and learn as I go. I already have the tank, lighting, mat, and skimmer. Just finished building my aquascape from Marco rocks (or at least I think I did) - will post and ask for opinions shortly.

Cheers!
Martin

If you find a good Aussie Coral/supplier that ships reliably let me know - I’m on the Sunshine Coast about to do the same thing
