Ok well an update was not that painful.

IM 40, wet since September.

Aquashield 11 watt UV
Tunze 9001 skimmer
Viparspectra 165 watts
Sicce 3 return pump

Running Chempure Elite, no socks or real mechanical filtration.
Only a few corals, decent amount of fish

IM 14

Algae, zoanthids, mangrove.
Wicked Dottyback, love him.
HQI 250 watts


Loving the hobby again. I know right now the tanks are not much. Cruising along going slow, letting them grow as Matt used to say.

Sailfin found in a 5 by 5 inch box. No buyers here in tiny Green Valley.

This fish makes me want a large tank. We will cross that bridge in the coming months. Love the Sailfins personality. DANG IT!!!!!!!

Top downs, not much but a bunch of frags. Stepping back in with spa, all growing well. Tank going on 5 months, with corals add about a month ago.
Best modifications thus far are the UV, Sicce return pump and Tunze 9001 skimmer.

Yeah they get huge. I just could not leave him in that tiny container to slowly succumb to a certain death. He is going to a 200. I really did enjoy him though.

Macro tank, mangrove, well rooted and starting to sprout leaves. Add Iron weekly, metal halide for 4 hours a day, I am going to be supplementing with an LED.
And the fish with a huge attude the Dottyback.

I really like this pair of clowns, very mellow. The coloration is a deep red not easily captured. The pair spend the majority of time at opposite ends of the tank.

I hate frag plugs. Got glue, got tools, need motivation Uggg. In my last order from Boom I bought Forest Fire Digitata, one coral I have wanted for along time. Also received PC Rainow, seems like fast grower. Every tank should have Ducan so picked one up as well.
Slight algae issues, so far so good.
Water change every 2 weeks.

Also, I have been contemplating a UV in our build. I've heard pros and cons. Mind sharing your thoughts on what you'd do with a 93 cube?
