Okay, I saw a Chestnut Cowrie at a PetCo, looked really nice and was eating algae between the Sand bed and glass. I tried to look it up on my phone, but couldn’t get a signal. It was only $8. Get home, it says they are a Colder Water Species, my Aquarium runs around 75 F.

75 is probably pretty warm for them. They’re native to the California coast, but apparently like a bit deeper waters. Recommended temp seems to be 64-72F. They might survive in that temp, but it’d be like summer year round.

The Chestnut Cowrie, so far is doing fine. It’s in my Refugium, for its isolation, and is a little pig when it comes to algae. Cuts a wide swath too.
