Have you tried shooting fans across top of the tanks? Or tried a window or mobile ac unit to cool the room?
My tanks are in the basement so I don’t have a cooling issue, my heaters run if my ac is on.

How’s the tank doing with these crazy temps we’re having?

Buy a window ac, probably cost the same as a chiller to run without the extra heat from the exhaust in your house. Keep you and the tank cool. If not can always use ro/di ice cubes or throw a frozen gallon zip lock in the sump for cooling.

Amazing what a couple of fans can do... I have mine hooked up to my apex to turn on at 79 degrees and shut off at 78.5, chiller is set at 80 for back up, but has never turned on... weve been in the hundreds for the past few weeks... i have a box fan blowing over my 6’ and a small vornado on top of my hybrid fixture blowing down on the water of my 4’ tank... works great...

Edit:
I have a 300 total volume system to give you an idea... I also run a dehumidifier on lowest setting to control the humidity and leave the window open 6” and it still stays this temp with oitside being around 103... and Im running crazy lights; 9 radions with 61” t5s and 48” t5s...

Thank you. I have a question. I am planning to get a 4'x2'x1.5'(H) DT along with a 2'x2'x1'(H) sump. I have got a Hailea 150A chiller that is rated with 50-400 litre tank cooling capacity. My target DT temp is 79F to be brought down from 88F. So, its obvious that I am sitting with an underrated chiller without the provisions for a chiller upgrade. I have decided to compensate that by pairing my chiller with fans blowing over my sump. Can the fans help in keeping the chiller from going nuts and suffer a premature death ?;Hurting
