So a week ago i turned off the pump feeding my chiller while i was doing maintenance. Havent even been using my chiller cause of the temps but i had water flowing through it. Anyways, i just remembered my pump was shut off and thought id smell the water before turning it back on....it stinks!!! Like rotten egg, thinking hydrogen sulfide.
My tank volume is 200 gallons and the chiller is an arctica 1/3 hp.
Is it ok to just stick the output line in a bucket till all the bad water is out? Or do i need to run vinegar through it?
Anyone deal with this?

Waters gone anaerobic. Just flush the lines a bit and it’ll be fine.
