Well guys, I looked in my tank a wee bit ago and came to the realizarion that chip began to melt. His chips are all white and he has died. My heart breaks and I will make sure to buy mt next starfish from a trusted aquarium isntead of a town pet store. I will miss my little guy!

Your best bet is to stay away from purchasing Starfish until you have a larger established tank. They are one of the most difficult inverts to keep even in established tanks. If you want something similar look to Serpent stars. Honestly Chocolate Chip stars are probably one of the hardiest types to keep, you may have started with a poor specimen, but I would advise until your tank is over a year old to steer clear of Starfish.
