Choices for flow in 180

I’m working on gathering equipment for my 180 gallon.
I’m going with AI, I love having my app for lights and pumps all together. I also love the smaller profile on the Nero style.
I have a mixed reef, more heavy on the LPS side with some softies and a few SPS.
Let me know what your thoughts on these 3 options I was thinking by about.
I’m looking for experiences, and input. Right now I have 4 - AI Nero 5’s on a 4’ - 75 gallon.

4 - AI Nero 7’s - 2 on each end

2 - AI Nero 7’s one side and the Orbit 4 on the opposite side

2 - orbit 4’s - opposite ends of tank

Small Polyp Stony (SPS) Corals:

For a 75-gallon tank, 2x Orbit 4 pumps are more than sufficient to provide adequate flow.
Position one pump on each end of the tank in anti-sync mode to create a balanced water movement.

If you aim for very dense SPS growth within 3-4 years, consider upgrading 1x of the Orbit 4 pumps to an Orbit 7 for increased flow.

Large Polyp Stony (LPS) and Soft Corals:

1x Orbit 4 pump is typically adequate for LPS and soft corals.

Had 6 AI lights and not 1 lasted beyond the 2 year mark. Not in a canopy, not overheated, not full of dust. Dealt with melted lenses, fried diodes and total failures along with app issues. Never again. I avoid AI as a brand. Imo they went down hill when the company sold.

I too would avoid ai and save some money for livestock and nicer lights! But there are definitely some ai users here who’ll make the recommendation you are seeking. I’m probably only buying Jebao non wi-fi versions from here on out.

I have no experience with AI lights, but run 6 AI power heads in my 180. Love the flow. I run 2 - Nero 5’s and 7’s and 2 - Orbit 4’s. All Nero’s on back wall and the Orbits on opposite sides. Love my flow. I’ve only had them about 6 - 8 months so don’t know how durable they’re going to be. So far zero issues.
