My LFS just got in a beautiful male pintail fairy (Cirrhilabrus lanceolatus).

Is there any reason I couldn't swap my list around for a pintail instead of the ruby longfin? Any reason I couldn't add it first?

Pintail (C. isosceles) are not very aggressive fish. They should be fine as first wrasse in tank and will likely not harass other wrasses that are added later.

Thank you for your post, I just don't find fairy wrasses interesting or pretty.
I just know that you change your mind after you have a chance to see some of these fairy wrasses. :)

.....
Cirrhilabrus cf. lanceolatus is the old, wrong name for Pintail Fairy wrasse. This was used before they assign a species name for this wrasse. The correct name is Cirrhilabrus isosceles.
