Hi! I am setting up a peninsula tank and am wondering what a good starting point for circulation pumps would be? Would like to start with two on the overflow side and can always add another on viewing side if needed. Wouldn't mind trying the ecotech's for the cleanliness. Would you recommend MP-40's or 60's? The tank is 7'x2'x2'. Thanks much!

Something strong that you can point or control width of flow will get across the 7 feet better. Look at Tunze 6205, or the like. MPs move some water, but it is pretty broad and does not punch as well. You can mount Tunze to the overflow since their magnets are sealed. MPs need to be mounted to outside panel.

Many will recommend gyres and they move a lot of water too, but I hate the flow and it is too static for me.
