Circus gobies, who's got em

[Aquaph8]

Always loved these guys but have never had any in my tank. Please share your experiences and pics if you got em.

Priolepis nocturna?

[Aquaph8]

Priolepis nocturna?

Yep

[SDguy]

Great fish... I did a whole writeup on mine...

Fish Profile: White Tiger Goby, Priolepis nocturna by Peter Martis - Reefkeeping.com

[Aquaph8]

Nice, thanks Peter. That's perfect.

[Aquaph8]

Peter, do you ever see these guys for sale anywhere? They dont seem to be around much.

[SDguy]

The LFS I got mine at had them ALL the time... not sure what's up lately. Also, like I said in the writeup...they are completely muted and non-noticeable in holding tanks. It's only once they settle in do they flutter those big fins around. Maybe vendors pass them by due to this? Dunno...

[Aquaph8]

Im still looking for this fish, they just don't seem to ever be available.

[bige]

Nice write up. I want one.

Saltwater Aquarium Fish for Marine Aquariums: Black Barred Convict Goby

Out of stock, they go fast. But keep your eye on this, you might get lucky :)

I think its nocturnus instead of nocturna, but I'm not too sure

I had one for about 3 years.. I took this picture when I bought it because I had a feeling I would never be able to get another one.. and I was right. I never saw this guy other than a quick flash of it darting out for some food. It always lived inside the rocks.. cool fish, but you hardly ever see it.

[Aquaph8]

finally got a pair of these guys. I agree they are pretty cryptic but are awesome to watch dart out to snag a piece of food. Mine are still in QT and are really small so Im not able to get any pics but if you have a nano these guys would make great additions IMO.
