Ok so got another clam from PEA during there sale and holy moly guys. I got the 89.99 one and it is every bit 3-4 inches. The color is so cool I hate the camera won’t pick the color shift. It’s dark blue if you look head on and amazing teal if you look from above. The clam attached to its rock overnight telling me it’s super healthy which besides the other clam I got from another vendor I have never experienced and they usually never made it past a couple months. I WILL be getting another one from them during there next sale. Thanks Dr. Mac

@Waynerock,
How is your clam? Doign great?
It is a very nice clams, especially for 89.99
Ha nope it came with Rice snails and slowly died over the course of a month there’s nothing I could do I could never get them all off it. I have given up on clams. I can grow acros like mad, I can triple the size of Goni’s but clams elude me. Did you take them out and inspect them with a magnifying glass to make sure you don’t have any hiding on there it’s a horrible way for them to die. They are so small and get all up in every crevice. I really want another but watching the last two fade out was rough for me and I tried like mad every day to get every snail.

This is how I deal with parasitic snails. Just need to do it before you put it into your tank.

Thanks for that maybe there is a chance for me. Back in 2002 I had one for 3 years under old t5’’s and never gave it a second thought and it grew like a champ. Maybe it’s time to date again. It’s hard to say no to PEA’s sales
