I just noticed on one of my zoa colonies there is a very tiny clam borrowed into the side of the rock they are on.

It is 100% alive as it opens and closes and I can see a mantle although it doesnt extend past the shell like my derasa or maxima clam.

Any way to identify this clam specifically? I cannot find one online that looks similar.

That would be a bivalve, perhaps a zebra mussle or a scallop, but a cool hitchhiker for a reef tank!
Ok thats still just as cool. It looks to be stuck into the rock so would that mean a muscle instead of a scallop?

I am dosing the tank with mixed plankton as it is my gorgonian tank. Anything else to help it survive?

These filter feeders have mixed success in our reefs, but clearly plankton and other coral drift food items that it can capture improve their chances in a closed system.
