I have had the clam over 2 months now and has always been open till about a week ago. Won't open now. Any ideas all parms are in check and have not added anything but food and my weekly water change. Its a 6'' maxi from Pacific East

What kind of lighting are you running on the tank? I've seen clams close up a couple times due to high light. Did you ever notice any change in coloration? What sort of test kits are you using? Any chance of a PH or alkalinity swing without you noticing it ie. late at night?

I think I found the killer.
Leopard Polyclad Flatworms

I found one in my sump on top of my snail.... Needless to say he had a taste of bayer. Then burned.. Everything that has entered my tank gets 2 bayer treatments and 1 month qt. The only thing I did not bayer was my clam... BUT he did get qt My tank started off with dry rock dry sand so I have no idea how he would have gotten into my system. I learned my lesson after red bugs a year ago. But this weekend I will be tearing down the tank and going through to find more.
