Stupid question, I have a Valentino puffer. For a while now i got my eyes on clams, would the puffer kill the clam? I am thinking YES, but share your opinion also. Thanks.

I would say that the puffer wouldn’t kill it directly but more stress it out to the brink of death (Constantly nip at the fleshy part).

Blue spotted and valentini. Max size.
If I didn’t want a mixed reef, I’d have the blue spotted puffer in an instant. They truly are beautiful fish! My LFS has a beautiful Leopard Toby in and I would snatch it up in an instant if I wasn’t going for a mixed reef.

The blue spotted is actually an amazing fish. I have a few shrooms in the tank an had no issues. The only issue was with a xenia, he eate that coral in a few days. And the ocasionall snail. So that is why I am concerned about the clam, I think it will be food for the puffer.
