Im sorry to say.... that's nothing was helpfull....

And the derasa died too.

Anyway thank you all for the help!

Sorry, that is a bummer big time.

I am not having any luck with clams lately. My Hippopus is thriving (knock on wood) but I just lost a Crocea for no reason I can discern, it was fine one day and dead two days later.

I am going to start quarantining my clams and try a different vendor.

Again sorry, the before and after images make me frown.

Spectacular tank, none the less.

I am so sorry Luca! I had hoped that the deresa would be ok for you. So far, I still have my one maxima and blue squamosa left. I am hopeful that they will be fine. Not sure what happened with the four I purchased from PEA.
Your tank is beautiful for certain and hopefully you will fill it again with a few more new clam additions!

I thought the same! [emoji24]

I Hope yours would get a better luck!

Im going to put on the space of the derasa an Acropora echinata icefire to console me... i think i will never get another tridacna clam in my tank.

Icefire echinata is a gorgeous acropora, but I hope in time, you will get one or two or three more tridacna's! Clams are such wonderful creatures - like nothing else in a reef tank! I didn't think I would try anymore after losing the (30) I originally had about 5 years ago, but the "clam bug" bit me again. I hope it bites you too in the not too distant future :)
