Clarification on new DT and running a QT

This place always amazes me with the knowledge here. I'm like @mike89t. Been out of the hobby for 6+ years just started my DT cycle last weekend using DrT. method. Going to set up the Qt this weekend using same method. Kinda kicked myself in the but and wished I started the Qt first.
