Let me brake down a few things for you so we can figure this out.

1oz of Chaeto shipped to Florida by Algae Barn would cost at least $35.24, depending on the shipping choice:




Don't know if it would be cheaper to other states. Its a good deal for 2-3 day delivery, I cant beat that. My shipping is lower but its USPS, a bit more for UPS. Check out the price charts:

UPS
• Fastest and most reliable
• Has a 2 day air service
• Very expensive
• USPS priority mail is a better option cost/benefit wise



USPS
• Cheap $10 service
• Tracking number
• Not very reliable to keep estimated delivery dates
• Best bet considering UPS ground is reliable but isn't fast also



I also have a setup exclusive for growing Chaeto, it has a higher cost to produce than just picking leftover from your refugium (but it also results in a superior product), takes me months to reach a decent amount.

Like most of us, I don't do this for a profit, the revenue goes back into the hobby!

But I think your remark is reasonable, I'll cut off both prices:
