So I have a concern I don’t know if this is normal or not I am pretty new to reef keeping but I had a green bta and recently got a cleaner shrimp and I feel like it’s just irritating the nem it doesn’t look the same as when it did before I added the cleaner shrimp help?

Shrimps are jerks...they will irritate and tear corals to steal food from them.

Is he stealing food from your nem? I hand feed my nems once or twice a week, but usually give my cleaner shrimp a little chunk of something meaty first so he'll leave the nems alone.
I just started feeding the nem mesis shrimp but I try and spot feed the shrimp first may need to try giving him something to preoccupy him for longer

It always feels cannibalistic, but I usually give my cleaner shrimp a chunk of a small cocktail shrimp (about the size of a pencil eraser). It keeps him occupied for an hour or more, and gives the nems plenty of time to eat.

It's sort of adorable, because he swims right up and takes it from my hand. Never thought I'd have a shrimp do that!

I wouldn’t worry they will adjust. I have 3 bta’s and a cleaner shrimp. No problems.
