Cleaner shrimp

Can i put cleaner shrimp in 1 gal with no hiding spot at all

I’d do sexy shrimp and an artificial host at least. Blood and candy striped shrimp can get pretty big and consume a good chunk of food. Not sure if cleaners would be comfy in such a confined space either, but not too sure on that. No experience with pedersons or other cleaners.

they eat a bunch of food and get pretty big. My experience is with candy striped, or skunk cleaners. I think blood red ones are pretty reclusive from what I’ve read. Don’t know much about pedersons. Those are the more common cleaners I think. I think sexy shrimp would be more what you’re looking for in such a small tank.

Lol i didnt realize on how many cleaner shrimp there is, anyway im thinking of a skunk shrimp, he would be the only one.

Tough to say. Is there some sort of experiment you’re interested in? My recent skunk that I got has grown very fast. He was “tiny” and now is “medium” sized in 2 months time. Might want to check on nano reef.

How close are you to Tahoe? I’ve got some gorilla crabs that would be great in a small specimen tank. Hard to say whats ethical or not. There’s a zillion delicious shrimps served up at this hour around the world. Is it prison for that critter? I think a skunk cleaner is too much for a 1 gallon, but I just toss gorillas in my sump. That’s no more than 3 gallons,Who knows? Life. If you eat it, maybe it’s ok.
