Wondering if there is any general negative to putting Birdsnest coral next to zoanthids? I have no other place to put the Birdsnest if that comes to mind as a suggestion.

Yea some zoanthids will grow into the birdsnest corals which could become a problem. A lot of the nice zoos that come in are actually collected from areas where they grow on dead birdsnest skeletons.

Sorry if I was unclear but it is the zoanthids that are closing up, not that they are growing into the birdsnest.

Any increase in lighting? My zoos shrivel and close if I turn up my LEDs

My led is on maximum (its a kessil a80) but they've always seemed to like that. Thanks for the thought.

Just give them some time and keep a close eye on them. Im sure there is some place you can put the BN frag, therenis almost always a spot. When I run out of room on the topmof my rock I start glueing frags to the sides or even on top of other corals like monti caps.
