Hello, I noticed earlier today my clownfish was biting my blasto coral, he managed to do this in one day

What should I do? I have since moved the coral from this corner, he seems very territorial of this area. Any opinions? Do I leave the coral or is it a goner?

At this point I feel like I should rehome my clowns :/

I’d prefer to have corals and get a different fish if this is going to be an issue

Hello! Ive had certain fish nip at corals, or really show aggression against corals ONLY if they were mounted to close to a nook or area that they love. This case certainly has that potential. Would you mind adding a Pic under whites of the blasto and its proximity to the clowns area? @tbrown do you have minute to chime in on this for chromesplat?

Interesting... Clowns rarely eat corals. Sometimes they'll try to be hosted by a coral and irritate it but any coral eating fish is a sumper or re-home. You can temporarily get a "cage" to protect the Blasto until you can re-home the clown.

I think it tried to host the Goni right next to this blasto. It hasn’t been open for a bit and I’ve seen him nip at it as well. This coral is about a week or two old and just noticed this happening. Think I have a rehome lined up just sucks I spent money on them haha
