I've had this yellow clown goby for about 3 years. Within the past 2 weeks or so he has been losing color and rather than a solid bright yellow he's starting to have more of a transluscent pale yellow to him. Could this be old age?

Have the hiding places changed at all? I’ve found these species’ go pale or darker depending on their surroundings. I had a black clown goby that went pale after I removed coral skeletons and such but then he went darker once corals hit the tank again.
