Did a 10% water change yesterday.
Left this yellow bucket out for swapping water.
This morning I see my female Clown laying in the bucket!
Netted her in the tank right away.
Thankfully it was salt water in the bucket but who knows could have been there overnight.
clown seems to be alright.
There’s a lid on the aquarium but a slight gap where it could have jumped.
Still seems like a very hard jump it may have went from the tank to table to yellow bin.
some true finding nemo type escape .
Any reason for her to jump?
Probably because of water change.
It was a big scare and seemed unlike them.
I just find it crazy how it physically made it out of the tank and into another water supply.
if you have suggestions to reducing stuff like this in the future let me know!

Definately. Think how boring it must be to eat the same one food every day. There are so many good foods and treats available, spoil your fish! It can be fun for you too, for example, grow some live baby brine shrimp for your fish, it will love you.

Growing brine shrimp an easy process?
Do you need a separate tank?

I had a pistol shrimp that died when I adopted the tank.
and the fish loved eating it.
So heavily considering growing shrimp.

I grow them in a 1 litre pop bottles. There are lots of videos on youtube showing DIY set ups, super easy and almost free, you just need eggs (artemia) and an air pump. They take 2 days to hatch then feed your fish. Its neat to watch. But mind you, its just a snack, they are not meaty enough to fulfill all nutritional needs
