Clown question

So my clowns have moved from the back left corner to the back right corner and have been digging about a 4inch crevice in the sand and are hanging out in it. I’ve never seen any clowns I’ve ever had do this. I know they do weird stuff but has anyone else had this happen? Could it be a sign they are ready to breed?

Completely normal. My clowns have done this multiple times.

I dont think its a sign of breeding, but i dont know much about clown breeding to be honest.

What does your scape look like? Any hiding spots for them?

Yes there is plenty…I made a tunnel at the bottom at the back wall so they can swim from one side of the tank to the other behind the rocks.

My clowns used to do this until I added a nem. Took them over a year to f with it and now the one is a tank full.
