Clownfish and Goniopora

Hey all,

Anyone have long term success with Goniopora hosting clownfish? I have a large breeding pair that loves to rub against and nibble my Gonioporas. The Gonis remain quite closed most of the time :confused: Will they eventually accept the clowns?

Clownfish will dive into anything you place in tank, even a stick of dynamite

Clowns are likely bashing them too much as they get carried away

I have had success for years but the Goni’s get their butts kicked. My large female decided it did not like water anymore and jumped a couple weeks ago and the smaller male is way more gentle. That being said I am seeing dead spots on the red Goni’s so I don’t know how much longer I will tolerate. The fish are only in my tank to pee and poop on my corals. The corals come first. Hopefully since there is only 1 clown left the Goni’s will heal. The other Goni’s take the beating but the red ones were way more popular
