Homemade...plastic breeder take out your drill and add 40 holes and hope you don't split or crack the plastic in the process.

when do I know to take the fish out of the box?

To be honest in about 3 days it will probably have done as much to help as it's going to do. If you have to you could catch the little guy and put him back in there. Remember even if it was in there for a year the big one will still have to explain who is the boss to it.

Okay so. I got a simple marina breeder box. All I'm doing now is drilling holes in it so it can sit in the tank.
