Clownfish behavior with peppermint shrimp

Hello, awhile back I introduced 6 pepperoni shrimp to my 110 gallon reef to help with an Aptasia outbreak. They completely wiped the Aptasia out (of my display) within a few weeks. Then my 2 clownfish started harassing them, pushing them out of the rock work up into the top corners of the tank. They eventually harassed all to death. Now the Aptasia have returned, so I brought in 6 more peppermint and the very first day the 3 clowns are utterly obsessed with them and keep circling the rock structure all of the shrimp are hiding in. Hopefully they will forage at night and help with Aptasia. Is this behavior of the clownfish normal? I never thought they would bother shrimp.

I think it's normal in so much as you can never guess what clown fish will do. Mine do not harass the shrimp, but tried to add a client goby and they acted like orcas on a coordinated hunt. Do the shrimp have a rock structure away from the clowns primary territory?

The rock structure the shrimp are in is about a foot away from the clowns main spot... I can't move their rock structure it's part of a larger structure. Would it maybe worth adding a suitable rock to the other side they could maybe hide in? Maybe it's to close to their territory?

The shrimp chose to be under a piece of live rock, with lots of holes/structure to it and it's about 14 inches away from a spot that the clowns are always cleaning. Because of all the holes in the live rock the clowns can see them but can't get at them unless they come out, which they don't because the clowns basically circle the rock all day.
