Clownfish Brooklynella

My clown had lighter spots on the side and a film on her top fin. She has been twitching and not eating very much, the male seems okay. I added a video below to help identify if it is clownfish brooklynella but I’m almost certain it is. I’ve looked up treatments but I’m not sure what’s the best route as I don’t have a quarantine tank. Does anyone know of ways to treat this without a quarantine tank (these 2 clowns are the only fish I have in the tank. I also have green hairy mushrooms, Kenya tree, toadstool leather and GSP) If a quarantine is the way to go, would I remove water from this tank to put in the quarantine? I thought it may be bad to add clowns to new saltwater with no bacteria etc. but it seems useless to have a quarantine tank with the same water? Someone please give suggestions.

You can pick some Ruby Rally Pro and treat them in your Tank. See if you can it locally as Brook will kill rather quickly and it takes time to work.

I can’t find it anywhere locally, if I order it would take over a week to get here. Do you have any other suggestions?

The most significant sign is the amount of slime on its body which is noticeable on the fish. This mucus generally starts at the facial area as well as gills and spreads across the body producing lesions as it progresses often confused with ich and can turn into secondary bacteria. Other symptoms will be lethargic behavior, refusing to eat and heavy breathing from the mucus.
Typical treatment is a formalin solution is mixed with in a separate container with either fresh or saltwater. You can check in your area with Canadian Pet Vet in Ontario for this product or Sera Tremezole. The longer the fish are exposed to the treatment, the more effective it will be at eliminating this issue.
Since a formalin solution is often not available for use, temporary relief can be achieved by giving the fish a FW bath or dip in water same temperature as display tank. Even though this treatment will not cure the disease, it can help to remove some of the parasites, as well as reduce the amount of mucus in the gills to assist with respiration problems.
Treatment is best done in a QT tank using either quick cure (more effective but now harder to find) or Ruby Rally Pro. Ruby takes a little longer and initial treatment generally takes 2-3 days to really start going to work.

If you can't find any of the above. Repeated FW Dips can buy significant time until you can get appropriate Meds. It also helps if you can put him back in a Sterile Tank after the Dip.

Okay, I ended up finding some Ruby Rally Pro so I will do a FW dip and then use the Ruby Rally Pro. Thanks for the help

Great and repeated FW dips are a great way to stress out your fish. It is a method for temporary relief. Ruby is Very safe to use and effective with brook

I agree, this looks like Brooklynella. Formalin also works, but it is not really safe to use in a home (it de-gasses into the room air). Rally Pro is safer, but slower to work. In some cases, you can perform daily 5 minute FW dips to buy some time until you can get the rally pro.
